so… Cornell Moves Up in World Rankings. nice. its nice to hear about my alma mater. Cornell recently was ranked the 14th best university in the world by the London Times. whats sad is that the ranking was done early november yet i havent heard about it til recently. Cornells paper ran an article on the topic that can be found here. This is a cool exerpt:

Also published alongside the international top 200 list were top 50 rankings organized by continent. In North America, Cornell rose from 14th place to ninth. In the North American list, Cornell is fourth among the Ivies, behind Harvard, Yale and Princeton.

Compared to science universities internationally, Cornell ranked 11th. In social science, Cornell finished 16th.

in other ranking news, i was talking to a former cornell track and field camper and the team power track rankings came up somehow. in the 2005 season, cornells men finished 22nd, women 25th. the rankings can be viewed here. i have heard from punahou about coaching there. i dont really know the situation though.

and the new job is going well. lots of surf boards, crazy real estate shit, and lots of computer stuff. good. okay, just thought id share……………………….//
